What is HEAL-WA?
HEAL-WA (Health Electronic Resource for Washington) is an evidence-based health sciences information portal. It is based on the recommendation of the governor’s Blue Ribbon Commission and was included in state law in May 2007.
How do I access HEAL-WA?
Go to the HEAL-WA website (heal-wa.org). To access all of the resources on the site you will need an account. Information on establishing an account can be found at: http://heal-wa.org/resources/getting-started. You will need your RN license number to set up your account.
Which health professions can use HEAL-WA?
The following health professions licensed by the Department of Health can use this resource: registered nurses, physicians, physician assistants, osteopathic physicians, osteopathic physicians’ assistants, massage therapists, naturopaths, podiatrists, chiropractors, psychologists, optometrists, mental health counselors, clinical social workers, and acupuncturists.
